ABOUT ILARIA

Ilaria Montagnani is an internationally acclaimed fitness expert and martial artist, trained in Karate and laido, Japanese sword training.

Her fitness philosophy: push physical limits to build mental and physical strength, is based on her martial arts background and love of strength training.

Born and raised in Florence, Italy, Ilaria developed a passion for fitness from a young age. Her journey led her to New York City, where she pursued her first black belt in Shorinjiryu Karate. Demonstrating her commitment to martial arts, she continued to train Iaido, Japanese sword training, while developing her passion for strength training.

Ilaria found a creative way to bridge the gap between martial arts and group fitness by creating programs such as Powerstrike Kickboxing, Atletica and Forza – a sword training class aptly named after the Italian word for ‘strength’.

Ilaria Montagnani

In an industry where fitness trends come and go, her programs have remained successful over the years because they are more than just a series of exercises. They teach physical discipline that inspires mental strength, inspiring and training people to become STRONGER FOR LIFE.

Ilaria’s breast cancer returned in 2024, but she once again was able to recover and return to what she loves the most – being physical. Now a two-time cancer survivor, Ilaria continues her 25+ year commitment to health and fitness and the mission to train and inspire people all over the world to push themselves beyond what they think possible.
